Research & Academics

Clinical Research is a branch of medical science that determines the safety and effectiveness of medications, devices, diagnostic products and treatment regimens intended for human use. These may be used for prevention, treatment, diagnosis or for relieving symptoms of a disease.

Research Programme

Division has multiple Clinical Research projects under evaluation simultaneously:

Recover
Oral Dabigatran v/s warfarin for treatment of acute symptomatic venous thromboembolism.

Remedy
Oral Dabigatran v/s warfarin for the secondary prevention of venous thromboembolism.

Aspire Study
Low-dose aspirin for the prevention of recurrent symptomatic VTE.

Pfizer- BMS study
Apixaban evaluation study for treatment of acute DVT & PE

Hokusai study
Edoxaban for treatment of DVT and PE

Academic Meetings
Diabetic Foot Ulcer Study: Novel Drug Treatment of Plantar Neuropathic Diabetic Foot Ulcers.

Stem cell Therapy for chronic limb ischemia
Evaluation of intramuscular ex vivo cultured adult allogenic mesenchymal stem cells in patients with critical limb ischemia.

EU-CORE:
European-CUBICIN Outcomes registry and experience for the treatment of the serious Gram positive infections.

POISE II:
Clonidine and acetyl salicylic acid (ASA) evaluation in patients undergoing non cardiac surgery who are at risk of a preoperative cardiovascular event.

Division of vascular and endovascular surgery actively participates in the monthly meeting of the Delhi Vascular Forum. The symposium is well attended by senior and junior vascular and general surgeons from different hospitals in Delhi and NCR. Interesting and difficult cases are discussed and consensus drawn.
